My overarching goal is to enable companies to streamline and de-risk healthcare innovation by decreasing iterations, costs, and time-to-market by strategically advising from conception. I help companies bring technologies to healthcare providers and patients that are clinically useful, enhancing end-user experience, using clinical and medical systems knowledge. It can be difficult to obtain physician input because of busy clinical schedules; but not having input from providers can greatly increase the risks for start-ups and small firms by not fully understanding the needs of the stakeholders. I provide the sounding board for pre-contemplation ideas, assist in technology development, and help to vet concepts for investors and collaborators. Promoting end-user functionality of technologies to accelerate their adoption and to improve patients’ health and the practice of medicine is something I care about deeply. I’m also an entrepreneur and start-up founder, and thus have perspective for the needs of founders and investors. I provide clinical credibility to innovations and help improve funding chances by vetting innovations for real world impact while decreasing risk.
